Many of our clients are now fully engaged in the creation of media content destined for Social Media environments and/or for implementation via the internet and mobile systems.  This is fantastic, as clients can now reach more audiences with less money invested in the process.

Never-the-less, high quality, brand integrity, and effective messaging remain critical elements of corporate marketing and communications.  This is a main focus for Blomeley Communications and is a key component of the success our cleints have realized on the ‘net.   The fact that pretty much anybody with a digital camera or cell phone can now produce a video and upload it to YouTube only makes it more important to Professional Organizations that they maintain a critical eye and a focus on the management of social media production and delivery.

Yesterday I was pleased to be contacted by a friend, Olympian Steve Omischl, and Randy Risling the multimedia guru from the Star. Randy R was looking for some tribute footage and contacted Steve O, a former world champion freestyle skier and budding film producer/director.  Back at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games Steve O had produced some wonderful behind the scenes mini-documentaries for Blomeley Communications and Bell Canada via the Canadian Olympic Committee Canada House called “16 Days in Beijing” which we streamed worldwide to many Bell business units, screens, and mobile devices during the games. Day 6 featured Randy Starkman at work at the MPC.

It feels good to vicariously be part of a great moment in Canadian history. We just completed the archived video restore, edit, and encode of Sir Winston Churchill’s famous wartime speech presented to the Canadian Parliament on December 30, 1941.  The video is a central part of the exhibit.  If you are a history enthusiast this is a good exhibit to go to.  Actually Parliament Hill and the Centre Block is a great place in general to visit.

Stellick Marketing Communications, “TheGoToGuys.com”, manage the promotion and marketing of the CHL’s education and scholorship programs called “Champions – On Ice, In Life”. Blomeley Communications produced the broadcast and radio PSAs in both French and English, and we participated in the photographing of the former junior players who are highlighted in the print ads.
Former NHLer and Medicine Hat Tiger, Kelly Hrudey of CBC’s Hockey Night in Canada was the voice of English productions. RDS Hockey analyst Marc Denis, who was a former NHL and Saguenéens de Chicoutimi goaltender provided the French narration for the francophone productions.
This is am excerpt from the CHL Media Release… “The Canadian Hockey League offers its players tuition scholarships and life skills that lead to a variety of careers – from law enforcement to medicine to professional athletics,” said CHL President David Branch. “This advisory board gives our players yet another resource to help ensure not only that they have an outstanding experience in the CHL, but also that they are properly prepared for whatever career path that they choose.”
We recently noticed the print ads in a number of hockey and sports publications including the NHL All-Star Game Program so we posted a couple of them here with this blog post.

Knowing Liam, he will be at this every waking moment providing loads of trivia, facts, videos, blogs, opinion, and fan-type commentary on the game and everything around it.  And since Liam is also simply a sports fan I know he will have to give his thoughts on every other sport he likes (I just saw a blog about the Super Bowl and Madonna…!).

I also heard he has become a twitter guy too…which fits into his personality of constantly providing a flow of facts, number, and names.
